Matrix Architects came to Finland to discover our special awarded learning path and architecture starting from public daycare. Innovative new learning spaces are located in Helsinki region to new housing area’s and they serve also residences in the neighborhood with municipal services and with library and sport facilities. Architects of matrix were delighted of possibility to encounter these building and meet the children and staff of the schools and daycare, learn how the building functioning in practice. Group met a
few of the designers at the site and visited one of the important contemporary architect and design offices in Helsinki. The educational architecture tour ended to University Campus designed and named after Alvar Aalto, today Aalto University is one of the main universities in Finland uniting technical, economical, and industrial arts studies. Tours last day was dedicated for Helsinki city centre of contemporary public architecture
of publishing company, modern art museum, Helsinki music centre and special wood constructed Chapel of Silence.
